Challenge Remarks (Moderation)

Challenge Remarks (Moderation)

To improve the fairness of the scoring for AGEC19, we will be implementing the following:
  • Redoubled our efforts to follow up with users who are marking poorly.
  • Allowing learners to request remarks on their most unfairly scored submissions.

How to request a remark on one/more of your submissions

Learners are able to request a remark on up to 3 submissions per week.
Note that your score may decrease if it is indeed a poor submission.
To request your remark, simply follow the relevant link below and indicate up to 3 challenges which you believe deserve a remark.
  1. Week 1 Remark Requests
  2. Week 2 Remark Requests
  3. Week 3 Remark Requests
  4. Week 4 Remark Requests
  5. Week 5 Remark Requests
Note that we will focus first on remarks for the current week, to ensure that the weekly leaderboard reflects the fairest scores possible.
This does mean that your remarks from week 1 and 2 might take a little longer. Please be patient in this regard. Our moderation team is working as fast as they can.
Note that remarks done for week 1 and 2 will not change the results of Weekly Prize Winners for week 1 and 2, but will count towards your standing on the overall leaderboard.

Tips for getting your scores up

  • Read problem statements carefully before answering to ensure that you know what the questions require from you.
  • Do research on the problem, always remembering to cite your references where necessary.
  • Think deeply about the problem, to ensure that you come up with relevant and unique solutions.
  • Be extensive when answering questions, do not provide short paragraphs that do not address all relevant issues.
  • Proofread your answers before submitting, as small spelling and grammar errors can cost you points.
  • Last but not least, HAVE FUN!
